Connection Problems: I have connected the player to my PC and nothing happens. How can I connect the player to my PC.
Answers: The M2400T is an MTP compatible player that works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista together with Windows Media Player 10 or 11 (or higher). If you connect the player to your PC and you get no response, please see below. Connection problems are usually a problem with PC hardware or Microsoft. However, the following steps can be helpful to determine the PC problem and resolve it:
a. Disconnect the player from the USB. Reset the player (use an opened paperclip to gently insert inside the 'reset' hole of the player). Then try again to connect to the PC.
b. If (a) does not work, then connect the player to the USB port of your computer. While connected, Reset the player (use an opened paperclip to gently insert inside the 'reset' hole of the player).
c. Try the player on another computer (running Windows XP or Vista with Windows Media Player 10 or 11). If it works in another computer, then the problem is with the existing computer hardware or software.
d. Try another USB port on the computer. Do not use a USB hub.
e. Sometimes an error occurs if you have installed the player first, and then upgraded to WMP 11 after you have installed the player. If this is the case, please refer to the following links from Microsoft:
